When we have the opportunity to “tie threads,” we do – and the Resident Connection Hub is a perfect example!
At the Rocket Community Fund, we believe that that every American deserves safe and stable housing. And we are equally dedicated to providing engaging volunteer opportunities to our 16,000+ Rocket Companies team members. A few years ago, we created the Resident Connection Hub to solve for a critical need, to provide Detroit residents with housing resources and information. That’s where we learned to harness the power of our team members.
With the Resident Connection Hub (RCH), our team members have the unique opportunity to engage directly with Detroit residents through a phone-based outreach program developed by the Rocket Community Fund and operated by Wayne Metro. This opportunity has become so popular that it creates “repeat volunteers” who have volunteered with RCH numerous times, helping countless residents access the services they need in order to remain in their homes, get critical repairs, and more.
Best of all, Resident Connection Hub is a virtual volunteer opportunity, so team members from across the country can participate. This gives them an opportunity to interact with and help Detroit residents in real time.

In the video, we hear from Rocket Companies team members Trina Robertson and Demetria Anderson who talk about why they volunteer with Resident Connection Hub, and Rachel Ableser, our Neighbor to Neighbor Program Manager who leads Resident Connection Hub – herself a former enthusiastic “repeat volunteer.”
“Volunteering with the Resident Connection Hub was one of the most fulfilling volunteer events I’ve ever done at Rocket Mortgage,” Demetria Anderson said. And in this video, you’ll understand why!
