DETROIT – The Detroit Jazz Festival, the world’s largest event of its kind, today announced that Rocket Companies will continue its support of Detroit’s jazz legacy through a curated series during the 2024 festival.
The Detroit Signature Series, developed by Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation President and Artistic Director Chris Collins, will showcase the city’s rich jazz history and honor both renowned and emerging local musicians throughout the four-day event. Several headliners will be joined by members of the Detroit Jazz Festival Orchestra, who represent some of the top orchestral talent in Detroit.
Rocket Companies has supported the Detroit Jazz Festival for 13 consecutive years with the dual goal of shining a spotlight on Detroit and providing residents and visitors with an enriching cultural experience. The 2023 Detroit Jazz Festival experienced more than 300,000 in-person attendees and an estimated 1.5 million global livestream viewers from nearly 25 countries.
“The Detroit Jazz Festival is a cherished tradition that not only celebrates the artistry of jazz musicians worldwide, but also highlights the dynamic spirit of our city,” said Laura Grannemann, Executive Director of the Rocket Community Fund. “Each year, the Jazz Fest brings a global audience to the heart of Detroit. We are proud to both showcase our city on an international platform and increase access to arts for Detroiters.”
